Experiment with Multiplication and multiple shapes

Multiple Shape

Texture:the implied feel
Pattern:the theme of a design
Narrative/Theme:the story or commonality between design
Multiplication

Experiment response to external force

Response to external  force

response to external Force
Foreground: focal point in the picture
Background:is the images going behind the scenes
Perspective: the view or skew of the object
3 Dimensional: being able to see three sides to the object

Experiment to response to internal force

Response to an internal force

Positive Space: is space that is activated by line or color
Negative Space: space that is void of line or color
2Dimensional: a flat or static image

Experiment with Implied Shapes

Implied shape
(leaves on sidewalk)
Implied Shape
Shape: the definition of an object
Mass: the amount of space a shape takes up
Space: the relationship of distance between objects

Experiment with Relief and Dominance

Alternating Line Weights

Alternating Line Weights
Relief:the varying of weight of lines to show depth
Dominance : a line or image that stands out and brings a point of focus

Experiment with Groupings and Symmetry/ Asymmetry

Non Parallel Lines
Non Parallel Lines
Grouping: the putting together of lines or images to express a design
Symmetry/ Asymmetry: is even on both sides / not symmetrical

Experiment in Balance and Unity

Lines that Undulate

Lines that Undulate and intersect

Balance: is the relationship between to objects that create an equality
Unity: is the composition of unrelated lines or images coming together to create one  singular source or image

Experiment in Rhythm and Repetition

Change direction lines
(garden)

Change direction lines

Rhythm: is the flow of the image that you are seeing. It creates a pattern and sets the tone of the picture

Repetition: is the duplications of lines or images that can be used to create the rhythm to the picture

Experiment in Line and Field (vertical )

Vertical Parallel Lines
Desk
                                               Vertical Parallel Lines
Vertical Parallel Lines
Line: a line originates from a point and extends beyond that point
Field: the field is a plane of vision that you are working or viewing a segment in

100 Lines

Here is my first finished project! The assignment was for a 100 lines. We have been studying the different types of lines and how they can be used to express an image.  We added definition by varying the weight of the lines and intermixing the types of lines that we studied. This image focuses on  the intense energy that a marriage requires. The center is a ring that has been skewed to parallel the energy of the sun.
